Another. That was my “one word” in 2013.  By studying this, it really struck me how the Lord wants us to be involved with the body of believers  He wants to us be in community. To function as a team.

The Lord wants us to be his hands and feet, to care for and to serve one another. He stresses we need to take care of our spiritual family, partly because the world is watching.

Over the last few years, I have been a part of helping a number of  families move. Most of these physical transitions were due to a financial change. I was just one of the dozens of hands and feet participating. Neighbors could not believe the all the helpers who arrived on the scene. Some even asked if we were from a moving company.

“No. We all belong to the same bible study.”

Some wanted to know where and when this study met.

What a great witness for Jesus.

His ultimate goal is that none should perish. God wants us to be a part of building up the body of believers. He wants us to serve each other. He wants us to love each other deeply.

Here are some “anothers” that will move you to action within the body of Christ:

serve  one another
forgive one another
encourage  one another
discuss with  one another
be devoted to  one another, offer hospitality to  one another, 
live in harmony with  one another,be kind and compassionate to  one another
don’t pass judgment on one another, don’t slander one another
honor  one another
love  one another
accept one another
instruct  one another
pray for one another
bear with one another
admonish  one another
fellowship with one another
“A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” ~Jesus
John 13:34-35
