“What a needed book! This past year in our small town, two youths have committed suicide.”
This friend of mine, like so many–(most?) of us have been touched either directly or indirectly by suicide, depression, or anxiety. Our kids need HOPE. And we need to help them find it.
My family has been directly affected. One of our daughter’s attempted suicide while in college. Because of our experience and her struggle, the book Messy Hope: Help Your Child Overcome Anxiety, Depression, or Suicidal Ideation was conceived. Kendra, my daughter, and I want to help families, those battling mental health issues and those who love them (parents, friends, family members, pastors, counselors, educators.)
This book was a heart wrenching one to write. But God’s call to write it to help others who have loved ones in the midst of the struggle or for those who want to prevent the struggle was overwhelmingly strong.
Please help me get the word out about this book, if you, like me, are concerned about this culture of hopelessness in a hard world.
Here are three things you can do:
- Pre-order the book. Click here
- Write a review of the book and post it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bookbub etc.
- Tell others about the book.
- Join the FACEBOOK launch team. The team runs from July 27-Sept. 8th. The commitment is as much as you want it to be. The point is to promote the book and get the word out that the book exists. Click here for the link if you want more info or to join. I hope you do.
The mental health of our kids is worth fighting for. Some experts call this mental health epidemic the new normal. We cannot accept this!
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
