Helping Families Build Connections that Last a LifetimeWelcome
“Who are you to lead a parenting class?” Apparently I hadn’t properly introduced myself. It feels awkward to state my bio before leading a class. But… the dad who asked the question had every right to inquire. He needed to know my background before he would embrace and implement my parenting suggestions and techniques. Perhaps you are wondering too.
Professionally, I am a licensed parent and family educator and parent coach, podcast co-host on MOMents with Lori and Lee Ann (monthly podcast sponsored by Raising Christian Kids, Lee Ann Mancini), certified teacher, co-founder of 1 Corinthians 13 Parenting Ministry, national speaker, and author of 6 parenting books.
I don’t think those credentials are the most important ones. I believe that personal experience is the place where wisdom is born, compassion is grown, and humility discovered.
Personally, I’m the mom of four adult children (our family is smack dab in the middle of a growth spurt with in-laws and grands being added to the gang) and wife to Tom, my college sweetheart.
Wouldn’t you agree, nothing smartens up a person faster, knocks one’s pride down quicker, or tenderizes a heart more than being a parent ?
