Lori WildenbergHelping Families Build Connections that Last a Lifetime
“Who are you to lead a parenting class?” Apparently I hadn’t properly introduced myself. It feels awkward to state my bio before leading a class. But… the dad who asked the question had every right to inquire. He needed to know my background before he would embrace and implement my parenting suggestions and techniques. Perhaps you are wondering too.
Professionally I am a licensed parent and family educator, certified teacher, co-founder of 1 Corinthians 13 Parenting Ministry, national speaker, and have written 5 parenting books.

Parents, It seems when God nudges me to do something, initially I am resistant. My brain fills up with reasons why I shouldn't participate in His call. Do you do the same thing? Is it fear? Uncertainty? Insecurity? I know Moses (Exodus 3-4) felt the same way....
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. Luke 2:14 Mary heard the shepherds account of the angels regarding the birth of Jesus and she "treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." Mary, a mom, remembered and...
The article below was published over at Arise Daily. Arise Daily publishes daily devotionals. All the devotionals are short yet packed with spiritual truths. Each one is written by a Christian author. It was my privilege to have my article I Confess, I am a Hoarder...
When you extend your hand and offer help do you ask yourself if your helping is enabling or empowering? Sometimes it is hard to tell. In our desire to help our kids and young adults get where they need to go or be where they need to be, sometimes we extend too much...
"You need to settle down." Oh boy...those words never bring the response the speaker is looking for. Settling down will not be the next thing that occurs. "Just settle down," those are fighting words. I overheard a man (perhaps a husband) say that to (I presume) his...
